I have no recollecton of planting any here, Anna!! I did plant some in the blue & white border some years ago, which came up a couple of times but they didn’t really perform and eventually disappeared. I am tempted to plant more here in the woodland edge border, seeing these. The leaves are rather nibbled but the flowers are gorgeous!
my martagon lily is extremely temperamental and disappears for whole years, or some years only manages a few feeble leaves and no flower. I’ve got it in a pot… perhaps I should plant it out in a border and see if it will surprise me! This one is gorgeous, I didn’t know white ones were available.
That’s interesting to hear that you find them temperamental. I really don’t remember planting any here but I have just moved a cast iron ‘urn’ which could possibly have been above where the bulb was… 😉
Martagon lily!! No better garden pleasure than that.
I don’t remember planting any here, but am motivated to add more now 😊
Very pretty.

Martagon lilies are absolutely beautiful flowers Cathy especially the white flowering ones 😂 Why was this particular pleasure unexpected?
