Very nice. I’m so looking forward to the first blooms of the new growing season. A hopeful sign.
Well, we all know spring comes round again after every winter…
A heart lifting sight every year Cathy. I was getting worried about mine which seemed late appearing. Yesterday after days of cold grey grim we had a couple of hours of almost spring like weather and if by magic they popped up there heads from nowhere 😂 Even more today.
Yes, any sunshine has made a big difference and I am more hopeful there will be more flowering a fortnight!
Snowdrops are coming up thick and fast now, Such an exciting time. My Galanthus nivalis are very variable in time, some come up early, some late. I sometimes wonder if they originate from different countries and have different internal clocks.
Are your double ‘natives’ always earlier than the singles? Mine certainly are, but yes, it’s an interesting thought about the different origins
