That is so lovely Cathy! Who painted that for you?
It was Elder Daughter, who did not get her talent from me!!
Oh how fabulous Cathy! Has the Golfer got artistic talent or was this a gift from some other not only talented but most thoughtful person? You couldn’t wish for a better present!
Haha – do you think that is a possibility? 😁 Certainly isn’t! It was Elder Daughter, who took up the challenge after not being able to paint for quite some time, after asking what I would like for birthday/Christmas. I suggested it only very tentatively, so was thrilled she agreed to it, and with the result!
Well – I have seen evidence of some of The Golfer’s handicrafts skills Cathy so didn’t want to rule him out of the equation 😂 Elder Daughter is most talented indeed and I hope this encourages her to paint more regularly again. She has given you a most special gift with much love going into it. Is it painted in oils?
Well yes, he can create, but sadly not artistically though. The painting is in acrylics and she did enjoy painting again at first, but the pressure did get to her after a time and she was glad to finish it in the end. Didn’t help that it wasn’t the style she would choose to paint
Not surprised this gets the ‘BEST’ accolade. What a perfect present.
Yes, and knowing it was coming meant I was SO excited!
Well, it was a tentative suggestion Beverley, but I was thrilled with the result!
Beautiful! Yes, that is a fabulous Christmas present. 🙂
It ws painted by Elder Daughter, Beth, and I am so thrilled to have it!
OMG, what a heartfelt, well executed gift. An heirloom.
Lucky ducky! So wonderful. Your daughter created a beautiful treasure.
Yes, I am so pleased she agreed to rise to the challenge. Instead of trying to get an off the peg frame for it I shall splash out and get it professionally done so I can do justice to it
