Photos like this make me want another Magnolia, preferably a shorter specimen that doesn’t produce flowers so far above my head I need a telephoto lens to see them.
There are a number of ‘dwarf’ magnolias available in the UK, including others in this ‘girls’ series. Mine is less than 2m and I must have had it up to 15 years or so, although it is not in the best of locations and may have grown taller elsewhere
Wow, looking good. And being late flowering means she missed the frost.
Ah, of course, I didn’t think of that – after so many years with very few flowers I was just happy with whatever we got and whenever we got it!
