That is such an unusual flower… Beautiful too…
Yes, a tiny but perfect little flower
Beautiful flower, do you know what it is called?
Yes, Hepatica nobilis
Hepatica? Is this flowering now? I have a couple of these, but no sign of them so maybe they have died. Beautiful shot!
Mine are in a pot in the Coop although the pot was put outside after they finished flowering last time and brought back in in Nov/Dec
I think I should have planted them on pots.
I am just a novice with mine, so perhaps I have been lucky Jude
Lovely – esp. those stamens!
Aren’t they just?!
The color is so…perfect. Lovely photo, too. 🙂
Gorgeous colour. A little jewel.
Just the ordinary nobilis Chloris, the others were a bit pricey! There are white and pink ones in the same pot
They are ridiculously expensive. It is a good idea to grow it in a pot. They tend to get lost in the garden.
That’s what I thought, as well as something else to add colour in the Coop over winter
Beautiful! Can‘t wait to see them flower here too. 😃
A little jewel Cathy.
They’re tricky, for me anyway. Well done!
Thanks Jessica – they were new to me early last year. I put them outside once the flowers were over and brought them back in before Christmas
Beautiful! I saw these on the Sarah Raven site and wondered if the colour had been photos-shopped, it was so intense. One for the wishlist!
I hadn’t seen them in the flesh either until these arrived (I have white and pink too) and like you I was enthralled at how perfect they were. They can be grown outside but I think they would be lost in a border – I did move the pot outside after they had flowered and hid it under some foliage as they need a rest and shade in spring and summer
