Gosh that could have been very bad.
Oops!! I did a similar thing in leaving a pair of scissors on top of the log burner!
Oh dear is right.
The trug came off worse I think 🤔
It looks like you were lucky not to have a fire.
A nasty sticky mess but could have been so much worse Cathy! Have you managed to remove the purple gloop?
When the fire is on, the remaining gloop softens and I have scraped as much of it off as I can 😑
Cathy could have turned into a fire! Luckily only the pruning shears were damaged. Have you been able to remove the purple plastic? I hope you don’t have any more scares. Take care. Greetings from Margarita.
Oh dear! What a mess. Easily done. So glad you didn’t have a fire.
Strangely, I had smelt something when I was outside in the garden, but assumed it was work being done in the next garden where they are having building work done. They had been placed there ‘temporarily’ after I had emptied the rug in the recycling bin – when the fire wasn’t on of course!
I’ve done many a similar thing myself. Recently roasted a plastic container in the oven….placed there temporarily. Sigh. Xx
