Thanks – it was the early signs of the bloom I was trying to show
Indeed it is a waning gibbous moon at the moment. (Just learnt that word -gibbous.).
And you have buds, how exciting.
I have the advantage of Key Stage 2 knowledge and knew about gibbous moons, Chloris. My Winter Moonbeam is definitely waxing though!
Just shows how long it is since I did any teaching. I missed all that Key Stage 2 stuff.
Cathy the leaves are wonderful in color and look like they have a layer of polished wax. In the center there are light pink to dark buds and dark to reddish brown carmine. All those colors together are a beauty! And a great illusion the buds! “What will be, will be …….” Greetings from Margarita.
And the hellebore is called Winter Moonbeam, Margarita!
That’s why Cathy the leaves have the silver of the Moon and the buds the color of the Phaseolus lunatus. Your Hellebore “Winter Moonbean” is fantastic! Have a good weekend. Greetings from Margarita.
