  1. Oh wow I love the lights in your garden and all the snow. We just got a foot of new snow and oh is it cold!

    • Cathy says:

Haven’t seen a foot of snow for a number of years (probably mid 80s) but parts of the UK, even fairly locally, have had that much and more. Still some remnants around and we have had some icy mornings. Keep warm and safe Donna

  2. Sam says:

    We didn’t get any 😦

  3. shutterbug says:

that first picture is so cute. Thanks for the smiles today 😊

  4. Cathy I love trees covered in snow. The lights next to the new pergolas are marvellous. To the heat of the fireplace. Greetings from Margarita.

    • Cathy says:

Thanks Margarita – my rambles in the garden have been quite short this week but it is meant to be a little bit milder and I have some bulbs to plant!

  5. Cathy says:

Aaah, magic! Love those icicles, and the lights are wonderful!

    • Cathy says:

Thanks Cathy – we used to have these lights on the magnolia but the replacement crab apple is too small for them yet! As there are two sets I thought we would try them this way and I do like them here, especially as they reflect on the sitooterie windows

  6. Kris P says:

    That first shot is priceless!

  7. Heyjude says:

Now that IS snow. And you have a lovely magical garden with those lights.

    • Cathy says:

Thanks Jude – you wouldn’t have had any snow, would you? It is a long time since we have laid low for a few days like we did this last week, but with negative temperatures there was black ice around in the mornings, right up till yesterday. Should be a few degrees milder today (Sun) so I can get some jobs done in the garden again

      • Heyjude says:

I’m not even sure we have had any frost! A lot of wind though which has kept me indoors. Mizzle today.

        • Cathy says:

Do you often get winters with no frost, Jude?

          • Heyjude says:

This is only my second down here so I’m not sure yet what is normal. Last year we had 2-3 heavy frost days and I lost some succulents I had left out. This year so far I haven’t seen any frost. We do get a lot of cold wind though and wet, which seems to be the thing that kills a lot of plants.

  8. rickii says:

Your trio of maidens are freezing their little buns off, but charming.

  9. Brian Skeys says:

The lights give a lovely Christmas glow to the garden. Your three maidens make our three graces look very modest.

  10. Fab photos Cathy! I love your summerhouse and fairy lights too! Magical!

  11. Lisa at Greenbow says:

The snow looks so festive with the lights shining on it. Perfect for the season.

  12. Christina says:

Oh! It all looks lovely under its blanket of snow.

  13. Cathy, the lights and the snow make your garden look even more magical!

    • Cathy says:

Aw thanks Ali – we didn’t really have any snow last year so I was pleased to see it this year and put up with not going out for a few days πŸ˜‰
