National Poetry Day: A-Rambling

poem.collageStep outside –
Feet touch
Brick and stone,
Bark:
Familiar textures.
Hands stroke,
Pluck,
Ruffle:
Familiar actions.
Sunlight warms,
Dampness refreshes,
Webs brush:
Familiar sensations.
Flowers whisper,
Trees call,
Earth reassures:
Familiar words.
Reds, pinks,
Blues and purples,
Greens:
Familiar colours.
Step outside –
Ramble in
And round
And through:
Familiar foray.

  2. Oh this was a delight Cathy. I love to write poetry but just post it on my other blog…nature is my muse and it is wonderful to read another gardener’s poetry…
