I have a similar poppy in the garden, it is from seed saved from my mothers garden, so is very welcome just like yours.

This is an annual poppy though Judy – but gorgeous in shade and frothiness!

Poppies have minds of their own and will pop up where least expected. I love that about them.
It has popped up in several places this year and I have allowed most of them to stay – they are so pretty
