Internet access has been limited on our trip and my netbook unpredictable and unresponsive when wifi was available, but where possible I have been able to read your comments and know that some of you have worked out that we are in the Outer Hebrides, travelling to North and South Uist, Eriskay, Harris and now Lewis. The blizzard and chilly start to our visit is now a distant memory and we have been blessed with glorious blue skies and sunshine for the last few days, the varied landscape painted with a magic brush, the lochs and the sea glinting with fairy dust and tinted with indescribable shades of turquoise and blue, the hills and mountains tactile with their brown and khaki uniforms topped with the occasional white epaulette.
The other special touch has, of course, being able to meet up with our good blogging friend Christine and her Head Gardener at their Croft Garden – a long awaited pleasure, to be followed shortly by the opportunity to meet Frances of Island Threads. Two blogging friends in one trip and all this wonderful scenery – amn’t I the lucky one?
Yes.
Oh yes, you are very lucky. That beach scene is beautiful! Enjoy the rest of the trip Cathy!
So glad that you are having lovely weather. I have never been so far north, it sounds magical. It is always fun to meet blogging friends and see their gardens for yourself. It sounds like quite a trip.
What a stunning beautiful lace and you are obviously being lucky with the weather. How lovely to be meeting other bloggers. Have a wonderful time.
You certainly are! I now see what I’ve been missing. On holidays, we tend to head south! Nice to meet up with blogging friends too! Say “Hi!”
What an exciting trip- it sounds and looks just wonderful…!!
Oh what a magical trip that must be Cathy and how fortuitous that it can be linked in with meeting blogging friends too. Enjoy your travels.
Beautiful. Enjoy those wide open spaces and clean, fresh ocean air… and the company too of course!
We have been talking about doing a similar trip for years – and we have no excuse as we live up here. So glad the weather has been good to you. It must be fun to meet other bloggers and see their gardens for real.
