Joy to the World

joy.world.2jpgJoy to the world –
A big ask,
So let’s begin
With you
And me.
May joy be yours
Wherever you are –
North or south,
East or west –
For now
And all years hence.
May compassion
Fill your heart
And mine
And overflow
To reach beyond
Our dearest
To the unloved and lonely
The sick and the bereaved
The hungry and homeless
The misguided and lost
The terrorised
And the terrorists
The oppressed
And the oppressors
The hurt
And those that do the hurting.
Joy to the world –
And all mankind.
